Seeds Of Caring - Kids Changing The World

Seeds of Caring is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that serves to empower kids to create a kinder community with their hearts, hands, and minds.

WHO WE ARE

At Seeds of Caring, we believe in the power of kindness and the capacity for kids to change the world. We engage children ages 2-12—our future leaders—through a variety of service, social action, and community-building experiences. From racism to homelessness, we don’t shy away from the tough stuff. Instilling kindness and empathy from the earliest age, we help kids see and understand the needs in their community, then develop the social-emotional skills and confidence to make a difference.

OUR MISSION

To empower kids to create a kinder community with their hearts, hands, and minds.

WHAT WE DO

Much more than a volunteer network, all programming is intentionally designed with age-appropriate education, meaningful service projects, and time for empathetic reflection. Our various in-person and anywhere service projects, as well as our student group Kindness Corps, enable families, schools, and other groups to nurture a commitment to kindness, build bridges across our community, and find ways to take action. We offer 10-15 projects each month.

OUR FOCUS

Teaming together with more than 40 non-profit organizations, here are some of the issues our caring children and families are working to combat in central Ohio: Homelessness & Hunger • Systemic Racism • Stigmas Surrounding Developmental Disabilities and LGBTQ+ • Senior Isolation & Loneliness • Environmental Care

We focus our projects around 3 key pillars to make our community a kinder place to live, work, and grow.
