This week’s Nonprofit Spotlight is on Syntero, who has provided compassionate, professional, expert counseling and community-based services in Central Ohio for more than 40 years.
The mission of Syntero, Inc. is to advocate and support the health and well-being of individuals, families and communities by providing professional, compassionate behavioral health and social services that adapt to the changing needs of the community. Their number one goal is to create a welcoming, comfortable and safe environment where individuals and families can receive treatment, prevention and/or supportive services that result in positive, life-changing outcomes.
Syntero has offices in Dublin, Hilliard, Lewis Center and Northeast Columbus, and offers programs and services throughout Franklin, Delaware and Morrow Counties. Comprehensive services include youth, adult and older adult programs, pharmaceutical services, as well as group specialty services and programs, including LGBTQ+ programs and Substance Use Disorder programs.
Syntero's programs for older adults help individuals, their families and their caregivers face the challenges of growing older. Older Adult services include outpatient mental health and substance use disorder counseling, caregiver consultation, intensive home-based outreach and specialized support groups focused on aging.
